Happy new month, all...surely good weather is not too far away! Sherry sent this photo of a
Stargazer lily, which should make us think SPRING. All of our January blogging has been such fun; you Sistas just make my day when I read your comments. Some of my days are not as good as others, and the blog is truly a bright spot. Y'all need to send pictures, too, and I'll share them here.
February is a good house-cleaning month, so I have resolved to get my clothes in better order.
That's sort of a take-your-time thing...I can handle that!
Let's all have a good month; we'll start by really living each day, OK?

Happy New Year, my Sistas and all of our wonderful family! December certainly rolled in some difficult questions and even more difficult answers; however, peace of mind has followed. We had a lovely Christmas with Sherry here, followed by a visit from Karen and Mimi. They all arrived like Meals on Wheels, believe me! Such good food, and fun to have my girls in the kitchen.
We are, as you know, comfortably under the loving care of Hospice Savannah. We now have an assigned Nurse, Gwen, and a Social Worker, Auriel. Yesterday, around 2:00 pm, the doorbell rang, and there stood a gentleman who introduced himself as Sam, a Hospice Chaplain. We had a nice visit and look forward to his dropping in from time to time. Life is good and, with these good people (and you all) around me, we'll keep it that way as long as possible! I love you bunches - let's keep blogging.

Well, Sistas, that big, old gorilla is gone! As Sherry said, today is the first day of the rest of my life. I believe that God provides new days for us, intending that we use them to His and our own good. We have some good days ahead - let's make each one count. Come and visit whenever. I'm up for "bring-along" dinners such as good old pizza, chicken buckets, or Mexican; we can sit around wherever and just be together. We had such a feast for lunch today, KFC and wings and slaw. I didn't give anyone a chance to say ugh, no fried food! We continue to pray for grace under stress and be grateful for our blessings. I saw a church sign down the road that read, "Want to get rich quick? Count your blessings!"

How odd it seems to type "December!" I think I'm looking forward to a new, better year - all things are possible, right? Sherry sent me this wonderful old Thanksgiving picture; we'll enjoy it until I get some new pics. Today is my last treatment in this round. I'm sure the CT scan will follow soon, and we'll know where I stand. I will insist on some time out, regardless of the outcome! I need to regroup, gaining both weight and energy. I'm very tired (chemo fatigue), and tired of every day being the same old, same old. We need a little sparkle here! We'll all have great holidays, along with a couple of birthdays this month.

I can hardly believe we turned on the AC today! Much as I love sitting out on the deck, soaking up sunshine, I'm ready for cool weather. Enjoy this new pic - two cuties. We need pics from both Thomas households, hint, hint. Feeling a bit perkier today; every day is a new experience, right?
If I don't get busy - today - and finish my Christmas and Hannukah cards, they won't get out until next year. Ever have those lazy times come over you? Seems they live in my house! Everyone stay well and stay in touch. I say hialeah every day that you all are out there. Love
you, Sistas.

Hellooo, November! Cooler weather, maybe, and some birthdays: Julia's is today, then Delaney and Ali, and Cleo. Before you know it, Thanksgiving will be here. I'm hoping to make a trip to Atlanta around the second weekend in December...more later. Looking forward to a visit from Mimi and Karen between Christmas and New Year's! Everyone stay safe and healthy this month; no flu, please!

Sydney is the star of this Blog - she sent the picture to show off her new PINK
boots! I was so moved by Denise's description of the teen worship evening in
which she played such an important part. I guess we don't always think about the
young people who are directly affected by the recession. Elle's latest addition to our"words & phrases" list is a good one! Let's vow not to apologize for any typos in the future, OK? I miss my Sistas when I go on the Blog and nobody is there. Makes me realize how I do depend on all of you, and how much we depend on each other.
Well, speaking of typos, no matter how I edit this Post, it still comes out "funny!"
